How Simple Can You Get? is an international exhibition with Robert Storr, then, Dean of the Yale University School of Art, serving as juror. He has selected a diverse exhibition of work from a wind-range of media that comprises a collection impressive for both its sense of minimalism and perceptible complexity.
The response to this exhibition was strong, with over 1,000 submissions from more than 400 artists working in the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia. We extend our thanks to Dean Storr for the time and attention he has given to create this exhibition.
We thank all of the artists who submitted work; it is from their art and innovative points of view that this exhibition has emerged. Mr. Storr selected 51 pieces from 40 artists to be included in How Simple Can You Get?
This show was made into a success by an entire committee of people, and the end result was an exhibition that enriched the artistic experiences available to the New Haven community.
